Dear Friends:

We would like to extend our deep gratitude for your support of the 2nd Annual National Catholic Prayer Breakfast.

We are so excited, yet humbled, to see over 1,600 people from all walks of life from across the country so enthusiastic about their faith. People representing 25 states and Canada were in attendance!! We have great hopes that our gathering will continue to grow.

This year was quite extraordinary. It began with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass celebrated by Archbishop Jose Gomez of San Antonio who in his homily beautifully reminded us of two important pillars of our lives: faith and friendship. Stirring remarks were delivered by President George W. Bush and Archbishop Chaput of Denver, who reflected on the many important truths of our faith. The tributes to Pope John Paul the Great brought a tearful reflection to the end of a blessed pontificate, and the salute to Our Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI, reminded us of the ongoing blessings of the Holy Spirit.

While we were richly blessed at our event, we had some unexpected and unfortunate developments. Due to limited parking, weather and security, some people had great difficulty entering the event in a timely fashion. We had enough room to accommodate over 700 for Mass, but due to fire code restrictions another 300 people were unable to participate. And sadly we experienced typical computer glitches, such that some individuals and families reservations were not in the system. We apologize and are working to solve all of these problems before next year.

Here on our website you can now click on links to the prayers and remarks delivered at the 2nd Annual National Catholic Prayer Breakfast, and see excellent photos of this year’s event, which you may purchase from our photographer for a nominal amount. More will be added, so stay tuned.

Tickets for the 2006 breakfast can be purchased online right now. Secure your seat now. People have already begun purchasing tables and seats for next year’s event.

Should you have any reflections about the event, or can offer any suggestions on how to make next year’s event better, please e-mail us at info@catholicprayerbreakfast.com.

Please keep the ongoing success of the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast in your prayers.

Sincerely yours,
